How To Fade Stretch Marks Naturally No Matter How Long You’ve Had Them

As difficult as it may be to believe, there are people who have removed their stretch marks from their body without laser surgery. This article is meant to help you fade yours naturally, too, if that’s what you’d like to do.

Stretch marks are those unsightly lines on your skin that come as a result of the skin stretching more quickly than it was designed to do. Often, women get stretch marks during pregnancy; however, men can get them, too. Even young people can get them as they enter their teen years when their bodies are growing very quickly.

Though stretch marks can appear anywhere, the areas of the body where people tend to get stretch marks the most tend to be on their hips, the chest, and on their stomach or waistline.  You skin is made up of three layers. From bottom to top, they are the subcutaneous layer, the dermis (middle), and the epidermis (the part of the skin that we can see). Stretch marks happen in the middle layer, which is one of the reasons why they are so difficult to heal.

But you can do it if you’re consistent with the remedy I am going to share, below.

Fresh Stretch Marks Are Easier To Treat

Now, you can definitely get rid of older stretch marks, but the younger they are, the easier it will be for you. You’ll know your stretch marks are young if they appear reddish or if they just started showing and you know that the date of their appearance has been less than a year.

The quickest way for you to deal with them is to take a three-pronged approach.

First, you’ll want to use a sugar scrub (or a salt scrub if you prefer) on the area with stretch marks. Use the scrub on clean skin, just after bathing. You will want to use the scrub until your skin looks a little reddish.  If you have a darker complexion, you’ll have to go by the way your skin feels.

Don’t hurt yourself or scrub the skin raw. Just be sure to scrub vigorously until you are sure that you’ve got the blood flowing well in the area of your stretch marks. Be sure that your scrub has some kind of an oil base.

Rinse off the scrub, and immediately treat your skin with a mixture of castor oil, vitamin e oil, and aloe vera oil. These three ingredients together will pack a power punch for your skin and will make it more beautiful and will reduce whatever blemishes you have.

Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid, which is a powerful fatty acid. When applied to your skin, it acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, which is great for healing your stretch marks.(1) Some people have reported that castor oil helps to thicken and soften their skin. The vitamin e oil is a healing agent, too. It is a natural antioxidant, so it will combat free radicals and encourage more blood flow to your damaged skin. It reduces the appearance of scars. Finally, aloe vera is medicinal and has the ability to eliminate the appearance of all kinds of scars and skin problems from burns to dandruff on the scalp.

When you apply this mixture, massage it gently into your skin for three minutes. Make sure that it is fully absorbed. Don’t rinse it off. You should do this treatment twice per day until you start to notice an improvement in your skin’s texture and appearance.

Your Stretch Marks Didn’t Appear Overnight, So Don’t Expect Overnight Success

It took time for your stretch marks to appear, so don’t expect to use this remedy for a day or two and see a huge difference. Also, I can’t express enough how important it is to not do further damage to your skin when using the scrub. The scrub is designed to stimulate fresh blood flow to the area and to also remove dead skin from the area.  

Additionally, there are other, great oils that you can also use, like jojoba oil. Jojoba is the one oil that is compositionally close to human sebum. It’s beneficial to the skin, anti-inflammatory, and very light.  Jojoba is just one of many.  You can do some additional research to see if you’d like to add one or two additional oils to your mix.

If your stretch marks are a year or older, it might take up to six months before you see a significant difference in your skin. But don’t quit. Natural remedies for fading stretch marks do, indeed work, but you have to be consistent in using them. I hope this article has been encouraging to you, today.
